January 2025 Chris Writes Update
This newsletter, long thought dead and buried, nevertheless lives!
I abandoned the previous hosting platform (mailchimp) because it was—how does one say nicely—less-than-easy to write with. So now we are on ghost.org, and we will try this out.
I have only officially published one book this whole year: The Hidden Drawer. It's a story for kids from 10 to 12 years old. It's under my author name for children stories Emlyn Ambrie. It's available on Amazon at https://a.co/d/8JoEkZI.
It's a short book, meant to be read in one sitting. It can be read aloud in about 40 minutes, and is meant to encapsulate a short, interesting story. If you want me to send you a free copy in the postal service, let me know and I will send it.
I've written the second one in the series, and it's with the beta readers, and I'm working on the third now. They should be faster to write because I have the concept down. The cover art isn't great but I will hopefully be able to get an artist to do them as a themed series.
On the poetry front, there's been a lot happening and the poetry has been haphazard and scattered, and not consistent at all, which is uncharacteristic for me, so I will spare you this time. This time only. HA HA HA!
Okay, I keep this short. I hope you enjoy.
If you try to unsubscribe and you're having problems, let me know.
Also, after typing out this whole letter, I can absolutely say that the writing interface of Ghost.org is fantastic for writers. No HTML blocks to drag and drop. Such a dream. I will keep it.

Love,
Chris.
